How about listing parishes from different areas, so other Catholics in the community can follow other in their parish

Mike, it will be updating about once every 12 hours. It may miss a cycle or two now and again because of changes we are making to improve the site. But it will definitely update for you…so no worries!

And I love that phrase “Catholic Tweet cred.” Nice.

Pesci – that is an EXCELLENT idea! And something very easily implemented now that TweetCatholic users are signing up through their flockNote.com profiles. It’s perfect! Keep up the great ideas!

My question may be in the wrong place. One of the high ranking tweetCatholic members posted something like 80+ blog links in a row yesterday. What a pain scrolling through to find REAL tweets. I went to her page only to find page after page of these things. I then went to her website which is filled with I don’t know what. Came back and blocked her so I know this won’t happen to me again. Of course, Twitter moves so fast that the 80+ things are long gone but I would have like to have deleted them on the spot. So, my question is, is there a way to delete unwanted tweets? Thanks, Guys! You’re doing a stellar job for Catholic social networking. I just love this place! >

Good info, Lynn. I saw that occur once and figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they were playing with some new twitter tool that went crazy! :-) but if it is continuing then we will remove them form the list.

Which is a good suggestion, thank you, for the Ideas list. We’ll get a feature to where members can report abuses on TweetCatholic.

I also plan on adding a poll feature that allows the TweetCatholic members to vote on new features or directions we take with the site.

Hi Matthew, my idea would be to have a list of catholic hash tags people are using or could use.

Thank you for the reply, Matthew. I disallowed a twitter tool going crazy up front because all the urls were different. But, I should have a been a bit more Christian and given the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I’ll unblock her. I’ve seen ‘hash tag’ used here b4 Brian’s suggestion. What are they? >

I’d love to be able to get back to the very end of my follows to remove the old ones who haven’t followed me. But with 1200 of them and having to go back only 20 names at a time, it takes way too long. Is there a way to get a chronological list of our names that we can edit more easily? Thanks as usual for all you do for us. >

Hi

Great site. However, I couldn’t add my diocese. I noticed that they were all from the U.S. Is there any possibility of adding Dioceses from Canada in the future? I am in the Diocese of Toronto.

Thanks.

How do I access feeds I missed? No back page?

Still looking for an easier way to unfollow those I am following who are not interested in following back. Just wishing to keep balance in the follow/following numbers since there seems to be some 2000 max count I keep hearing about. Anybody know anything about the 2000 rule? >

I go to friendorfollow.com and from the top row by row just start clicking the photos. The home page comes up and I unfollow whoever it is. You can unfollow and then go back and refollow them if you want to place yourself in front of them again. I don’t even look at the names anymore. Do about 70 or more at a time. Once or twice a week. It’s mindless, you can just do it while watching tv or talking on the phone. Found another program, tried it, but it’s not as efficient as friendorfollow. >

Matthew, great job on this site. It is simply awesome!

I just noticed you have categories, such as Blogs. Maybe because my hyperlink is a “shrinked” one, I wasn’t included but I do have a blog. Any way you can include mine, also? TIA and mega-blessings to you!

Lucrecia…been trying to streamline this nonfollower issue (with my very limited technical skill). I’ve found that if I DM every single new follower it is noted under their name in the following list. There is also a remove button to the right of the names on the list. If someone is not following you back you CANNOT DM them. You can remove them immediately or follow them for as long as you want. When you’re ready to do housecleaning, just go to your list. whoever hasn’t followed you back will not have ‘direct message’ written under their name and you just click remove. It takes a while to get this organized but once it’s done you’ll only have to check current names and not go back through the whole list like friend or follow makes you do. Love friend or follow but this method, once it’s rolling is REALLY effective. You might have figured this out already. Hope this helps. >
