Join The List?

March 2, 2009

Update: Due to the increasing interest and excitement to join the TweetCatholic “list” we’ve updated the process. To learn more about why we are doing this read and comment here.
New signups: We are no longer accepting sign-ups through the comments below.

Pending signups: If you’ve already signed up below and have not been added yet, we will eventually get around to adding you as soon as we can. But if you want to hurry the process along…follow the new steps below.

Existing members: If you’re already on the list, please follow step#4 below as soon as you can. I know it’s a pain. If you want to know why, read this post. If you absolutely don’t want to – your name will remain on the list for now (pending future changes in site architecture).

If you want to join the list of Catholics on Tweet Catholic here’s what to do:

You MUST meet these very simple requirements.

  1. You must be Catholic, in communion with the Pope, and have “Catholic” in your profile description, name, etc. on Twitter.
  2. Please make a tweet (like this) inviting your friends to check out www.TweetCatholic.com (Pretty please)
  3. Your Catholic faith should be reflected in your tweets (i.e. they must not contradict Church teaching and should offer something of value to the Catholic community. This of course does not mean every single tweet must be about something overtly Catholic).
  4. Create a profile on flockNote.com (it’s free, easy, takes like 1 minute). When signing up or editing your profile add your Twitter username to your flockNote profile (for more detailed instructions click here). Right now this gives us an easy way to pull you into the system. It will also allow us to offer improved features on Tweet Catholic in the future!

That’s it!

NOTE: It can take up to 2 days for your name to appear on the list once you sign up. Thanks for your patience!
